Comme+ LV
If ,now, NYC would make big buzz. otherside of the map is going too! in Tokyo, you thought Comme des Garcons’ collaboration with H&M was exciting…. Yesterday WWD reported that on September 4, Louis Vuitton will open the doors of a temporary concept shop—the French call it “an ephemeral store”—in Tokyo selling six bags designed by Rei Kawakubo. As it turns out, Kawakubo was captivated by the Louis Vuitton monogram store when it opened in Tokyo in 1978, but couldn’t afford a bag at the time because she was starting her label. These days, she could buy as many as she wants, but she prefers to be on the other side of the business equation. Of the six bags, two are re-editions of styles from the seventies; two are LV classics customized by Kawakubo; and two are Kawakubo originals. For starters, the bags aren’t sold in Louis Vuitton boutiques. Customers must visit the Tokyo concept shop (a “hypermodern” space that Kawakubo designed herself) before it closes in December to place an order—only one model per person—and then wait several months for the bag to be completed. The explanation? “Rei said, ‘I’ve been waiting 30 years, they can wait six months,’ “In a world where everything is immediate, this is a return to real luxury.” For those of you who can’t make the trip, Kawakubo’s H&M merch arrives in stores this November. Fifth Avenue Is the New Rue St.-Honoré
As i told u that Colette is coming to New York. Commissioned by Gap and residing in the concept space adjacent to Gap's flagship at Fifth Avenue and 54th Street, the pop-up store is destined to be a show-week must-see. The shelves will be stocked with, among other things, mini versions of classic Gap khakis and denim jackets from Luxembourg-born artist Anne-Marie Herckes. And what's a sister-city experiment without some healthy competition? Jean-Philippe Delhomme and Ruben Toledo were commissioned to design these tees. We've got plenty of hometown pride, but we can't help wanting both.

No economized treatment allow for MINI
Welcome to NYC Fashion week Spring/Summer 09 ,and for Spring, it's all about the Mini…Cooper, What ??? as you could image how could it possibly set up the promoting activities that could draw the attention from fash people who just need fun, fierce and glomorous. The car company has monopolized the party calendar with a ten-day event series set on a Garment District rooftop.Dazed & Confused will kick-start the festivities with a be-there-or-be-square fête headlined by indie band du jour MGMT. And the beautiful-people quotient will reach its zenith at the V magazine bash, where Agyness Deyn, Lily Donaldson, and Jessica Stam are expected. Kudos to the ad wizards who dreamed all this up. The next time we're in the market for a smaller-than-average automobile, we'll be sure to think of you.

Charity's tee is in , no more Live Strong Bracelet
Charity ought to be its own reward, but a little incentive to spend never hurt. Gentle encouragement comes your way this week from Rogan, Rag & Bone, and Phillip Lim, who have designed limited-edition T-shirts for Lancome's model ( Daughter of Issabella Rosellini ,if you don't know yet ! ) Elettra Rossellini Wiedemann's Just One Frickin' Day organization. (Sales benefit a Burundian hospital's efforts to install electricity.) The tees are available now at the charity's Web site, which also asks would-be philanthropists to donate a day's worth of their income to the cause. Given that most of the designers' wares will set you back a week or so at least, one frickin' day sounds like a bargain—and a charitable contribution, to boot.

Expensive, dark, and handsome
Among Nokia's newly confirmed slew of cell phones: the Nokia N96 (pictured), an attractive, fully featured device we mentioned after a February preview. (Less attractive? The $810 price tag.) Slightly more affordable are the N79 and N85, each of which sports top-tier specs like 5-megapixel cameras and the 3g capabilities. Neither is cheap—expect to shell out $515 for the N79 and $660 for the N85—and (as usual) these Nokias probably won't be subsidized by a carrier. In other words, freedom comes at a price—but it's usually worth it.

Mini Colette in New York City!
Colette requires no introduction. The Rue Saint-Honoré boutique founded in 1997 by Colette Roussaux and her daughter Sarah Lerfel has revolutionized retailing in countless ways, perhaps most notably by challenging the notion that a store devoted to the sale of top-of-the-line designer clothes should only sell top-of-the-line designer clothes. By intermingling high and low; interspersing books and beauty products among the clothes; hosting art exhibitions; commissioning limited-edition, store-exclusive product; and cherry-picking the best stuff from both established luxury houses and emerging brands, Colette has all but stamped the last decade of style in its own image: Colette, in essence, invented “mix.” All this is Lerfel’s brainchild, and even as her ideas have been snatched up by stores the world over, she’s stayed a step ahead by conjuring up the next new thing. Recently, for example, Lerfel has done luxury e-tailing one better by introducing Colette Shopping TV, an online video series that take shoppers on virtual tours of the boutique; one recent episode featured an Elvis impersonator singing the praises of Corto Moltedo’s poptastic purses. That’s the kind of inspired idiosyncrasy non-virtual shoppers will get a taste of at Colette x Gap, a Gap-sponsored pop-up shop in midtown Manhattan that brings the Colette experience stateside for the very first time. “The way Sarah and her team create theater in the retail environment is very inspiring,” says Gary Muto, president of Gap. “We’re thrilled to offer our customers a new, unexpected experience, and to welcome the spirit of the Paris store into our newly reinvented Fifth Avenue space.” Colette x Gap opens on September 6; in the meantime, Lerfel has had her hands full renovating the original Colette boutique (which reopens today). Here, she talks to Style.com about crossing the Atlantic, the fading allure of masstige, and why New York City will always be cooler than Paris—and vice versa.

Something's in the air
The Wi-Fi iPod dock isn't a new idea, but Sony's new S-Airplay is one of the handsomest we've seen yet. The device sends your playlists wirelessly throughout the house to speakers up to 164 feet away. (Two such speakers are included, but the system will support up to ten.) As a nice bonus, it also receives AM/FM radio signals, which you can then listen to on one speaker while the other is still tuned to your iPod. (Yep, this dock goes both ways.) Look for it this September.

Vogue Homme Japan
Shot by Hedi Slimane, and directed by Nicola Formichetti, the overall styling just looks off. Emaciated does not even begin to describe the model and the studded belts evoke a dated look (or maybe Gareth Pugh had his hand in the styling). Either way, for a premiere issue, the depressing mise en scène leaves me flat and expecting more. the cover of the Sept issue of Vogue Homme Japan is ... good taste but not forwarding for me but ,finally, Vogue Homme placed a set in Japan , Fire!
Are you ready to be TOM FORD
With hands on the waist the male model Jon Kortajarena is posing in a way we’ve never seen a man do in fashion before on TOM FORD F/W 2008-09 collection. Leaning with hands in the waist has long been the way for female models to accentuate the thinness of their waist. A man should obviously never ever pose in that manner since it’s one of those things in life that a meant for women like knitting onboard a bus.
On the positive side the clothes look masculine as ever. Pushing an over sized ‘dress for success’-bowties mixed with sophisticated suits in playful patterns, Tom Ford is taking a new approach to Dandy-ism different from the crass Italian approach or the old age British way. This is the new American way of tailoring taking form.

More than meets the eyes
Looks like the era of statement eyewear isn't over yet: Consider these models from Chronicles of Never, a collection of bulky (but nevertheless cool) unisex sunglasses. The set's part of the brand's spring collection, which debuted last month, and offers further evidence that CON founder Gareth Moody is more than just a jewelry designer. No word as yet on where they'll be available, but given their pedigree, we're pretty sure they'll be ubiquitous next summer.

Big scoop for cool Whisky!
Yamazaki Single Malt, from Japanese distiller Suntory, is one of the world's finest whiskies, so it should come as no surprise that the company's found a better way to drink it: spheres of ice, two inches in diameter. The cubes don't melt as fast as our inferior American versions, so they keep the drink at an optimum temperature longer without watering it down (as much). In Japan, apprentice bartenders in high-end joints must learn to carve them by hand, but MoMA's making it easier for stateside mixologists. The store just got in a shipment of plastic molds, available for the first time in the U.S.only for now, which make a pretty good facsimile. You need a bottle of Yamazaki to appreciate the full effect, though. Trust us, we practiced. A lot.

Comme's Polo time
The logo for Comme des Garçons' Play line—graphic designer Filip Pagowski's slightly cracked heart, with manic eyes and an off-kilter shape—is about as good a representation of CDG founder Rei Kawakubo's dreamily esoteric design philosophy as you're likely to get. If it's anything like a representation of your own heart, however, we'd recommend a cardiologist.

More Rider!
What's wrong with the bicycle! two ride for this blog were quite elaborate but it's real era for rider. It's hip and chic for gentlemen who care of the global warming crisis and pose the standing to be one of activists.... is he cool !! Sure!
So,James Perse is a Los Angeles staple, so it's little surprise that the designer's recently introduced bike takes its inspiration from a Southern Californian classic: the beach cruiser, a West Coast mainstay during the fifties and sixties. This limited-edition revamped version, available exclusively at Perse's New York and L.A. boutiques, features the same fat tires, wide-set handlebars, and coaster brakes of the earlier model. Of course, given L.A.'s car culture, it's probably just as suited for East Coast riding. Fitting, really, considering NYC's metro beaches haven't gotten much of a face-lift since the fifties either.

Personal Trainers, A good call
If the promise of instant cool points wasn’t enough to make you want the new iPhone, maybe the idea of streaming a personal training session directly onto that 4.5″ x 2.4″ screen will make you ditch that Motorola Razr once and for all. Fitness guru Joel Harmon and his Personal POD Training workouts provide not just the audio instruction and verbal encouragement that have become popular with tech-savvy gymgoers over the past year, but the visual, how-to component once only accessible through personal-training sessions done in the (sweaty) flesh.
For $24.99 per month, you can download 30-day home, weight room, or body-weight resistance workouts that promise not only results, but exercises modeled by trainers, so you can make sure your feet are aligned correctly for those squat-thrust reps. Motivational words still come standard, provided on screen and in personal conversations with Harmon: The monthly fee includes unlimited e-mail dialogue with Joel himself (Skype-ing and iChat exchanges will no doubt be taken into consideration for Personal POD Training version 2.0).

Cool rider!
Taiwanese bicycle behemoth Giant isn't exactly the hippest name in the game, but its new collaboration with Michael Young—the British industrial designer behind the above watch which he designed for O.D.M., among others—might help change that. Dubbed Cityspeed, the (you guessed it) city bike launches in Tokyo this October, and includes nice details like the sloping top bar and LED lights at the head and tail. Want it? You might have to fly to Japan: There's no word yet on price or if it's coming here.
