The Fall 2011 Chanel ad campaign has the same photographer as always — Karl Lagerfeld — and Freja Beha Erichsen back for her fifth consecutive campaign, but thanks to new campaign stylist Carine Roitfeld, the set of images — previewed at the Cannes Film Festival and shot at a photobooth in Paris — has a decidedly edgier feel than seasons past.

Inez for CFDA Journal

The CFDA Awards aren’t until June, but the first shots from the Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin-shot CFDA Journal, which profiles the nominees and honorees, debuted today. For the fourth year running, Trey Laird designed the journal, overseeing the photographers’ black-and-white shots of the likes of Marc Jacobs (Womenswear Designer of the Year nominee and Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award honoree, top), Lady Gaga (Fashion Icon Award honoree, above), and Alexander Wang (Womenswear Designer of the Year nominee)

McQueen's reign is getting longer!

The Met's Savage Beauty McQueen exhibition has been extended due to huge popularity. The display will now close on August 7, a week later than its original closing date. Its opening day was the biggest ever for the Met, with over 150,000 visitors having since visited the exhibition. The New York museum is also launching a Met Mondays with McQueen programme on June 6 - where visitors will have special access to the galleries between 9.30am and 2.30pm, while the rest of the venue is closed.
